MPC-U AND MAB-U AT THE STANISHOVKA - ZHYTOMYR SECTION OF THE SOUTHWESTERN RAILWAY

In November 2013, the following systems manufactured by RPA “Impulse” were introduced at the Stanishovka - Zhytomyr section of the Southwestern Railway: the MPC-U computer based interlocking – into industrial operation; the first domestic MAB-U microprocessor automatic blocking – into trial operation. The MAB-U microprocessor automatic blocking is not only a new circuitry, but also a new functionality.

MAB-U differs from relay systems mainly in the following:

• hot backup of equipment;
• self-diagnostics of devices and reporting to operating personnel;
• lower power consumption and smaller plant space occupied;
• availability of an archive containing events and operation of system’s equipment.
